Dash Goes to the Olympics!

The grade 4 students got to experience participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics using the robot Dash as their athlete! Students researched an Olympic sport of their choosing and learned about how the sport was performed, where the venue was and what athletes had to do to earn top scores.

After reporting, students worked in groups to recreate miniature versions of a variety of Olympic venues such as a biathlon course, speed skating arena, downhill skiing and even the figure skating arena! They then used their programming knowledge to have Dash complete their sport following Olympics rules. Check out the pictures below to see their work!
